Workforce certificate programs and courses are offered to enhance your education in renewable energy.

Be one of the first to enroll in Suffolk’s Solar Installer Certificate Program!

*Starting October 2022 on the Michael J. Grant Campus

Program runs 10/18/22 – 11/10/22
4 week program
Tuesday & Thursday evenings ( 5:00 – 8:00) – 2 Saturday’s PAID on the job training

  • 50 hour course with an externship at a local solar company
  • Receive a Suffolk County Community College Certificate
  • Recieve an OSHA 10 Certifiate
  • Interview with a solar company at the completion of the program
    • Learn the latest in solar technology
    • Receive hands on training
    • Shadow current solar installers
    • Learn from industry experts
