Suffolk County Community College to Host Day of Reflection – Thursday, June 23rd

The College’s LGBTQ Task Force invites the college community to come together in a show of support for the people of Orlando and to remember the beautiful lives lost and impacted by the Orlando tragedy, on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. This is an opportunity to provide a peaceful space for people to gather and be with one another.

Campus gathering locations are as follows:

• Ammerman Campus Brookhaven Gymnasium – Alumni Room
• Eastern Campus Peconic Building – Room 100
• Michael J. Grant Campus Captree Commons – Student Lounge

A Mental Health Coordinator, as well as an LGBTQ Task Force member will be present at each location. Please make every effort to place this event on your calendar and attend. The general public is also invited and you can forward these details to anyone you know who is seeking comfort and support from others.

For further information, you may contact Professor Deborah Provenzano at 451-4183 or the College’s Affirmative Action Officer Christina Vargas at 451-4950.
